Led by the desire to show the wonders of the Balkans, a group of passionate travel professionals came up with the idea to start the Go2Balkans project. The initiative comes from the tourist industry represented by members of the Association of Bulgarian Tour Operators and Travel Agents (ABTTA), who founded Go2Balkans consortium.

About Go2Balkans

The Balkan Peninsula boasts rich history, culture and traditions, beautiful nature, intriguing destinations, delicious cuisine and hospitable people. It certainly has a lot to offer to anyone who decides to pay it a visit.

Led by the desire to show the wonders of the Balkans, a group of passionate travel professionals came up with the idea to start the Go2Balkans project. The initiative comes from the tourist industry represented by members of the Association of Bulgarian Tour Operators and Travel Agents (ABTTA), who founded Go2Balkans consortium. By promoting the cultural and historical heritage as well as the scenic landscape of the Balkans while creating and providing new Balkan tours and package services, the consortium aims to attract the attention of tour operators from all over the world towards the tourist services offered in Bulgaria and the other countries on the Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Macedonia, Romania, Slovenia, Serbia, Turkey, Montenegro and Croatia).

Participants from more than 15 countries took part in the previous editions of the event: Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Macedonia, Serbia, Romania, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland, Austria, Slovenia, France, UK, Italy, Sweden, Jordan, Pakistan, India and Morocco. There were more than 250 visitors, more than 100 exhibitors and nearly 50 foreign Hosted Buyers. The 2014 and 2015 editions of Go2Balkans were entirely business-oriented.
